Print without reprinting

Print the QR once — you change the promo and landing page in the account, without ordering a new print run.

Key takeaways

  • A ClikBy QR points to a short smart link (alias) and does not «bake in» the final landing page forever.
  • You change the URL (destination) field when editing the link — the medium with the QR stays the same.
  • Deleting the link or changing the alias breaks an already printed code.
  • Export SVG/PDF before the print run; test a scan after changing the URL.

Why you don't need a reprint

In the QR interface the link field is inactive: the code is bound to the smart link. While the alias is live on your domain, you can update the promo, seasonal landing page, or language — without a new flyer print run.

That is the «dynamics» of QR in ClikBy: print once → you change the destination as campaigns go.

How to change the destination

  1. Open the smart link for editing (without deleting it).
  2. Change the Link / url field to the new landing page; update UTM in the query if needed.
  3. Save. The alias and QR file stay the same.
  4. Scan the printed sample and confirm that the new URL opens.

Expiry, password, pixels, and Smart Traffic can be changed the same way — the QR is not reprinted.

What not to do

  • Delete the link — the QR leads to an error; recovery is impossible.
  • Change the alias after printing — the code points to the old path.
  • Regenerate a «different» QR with a new alias and expect old media to update themselves — they will not.
  • Send a low-resolution screenshot to print instead of SVG/PDF.

Before bulk-deleting links that have offline media — stop. Archive the alias list first.

Checklist before the print run

  • The alias is final and short.
  • The brand domain is set up (DNS ok).
  • A test scan from two OSes.
  • The SVG or PDF file is saved in the campaign brand book.
  • The plan to change the destination on the promo end date is written in the team task.
