Traffic enters in one of two ways
Through a ClikBy smart link or directly on the site via SDK with a Site Key. In direct mode the SDK itself creates the visit without a required public smart link.
ClikBy is an advertising traffic quality analysis platform. It works through smart links or directly on your site via SDK, assigns antifraud statuses to visits, and can send protective signals to connected ad accounts.
The main ClikBy workflows are described: server-side fraud detection rules, the Smart Traffic feature, and on-site behavioral checks on the client website, covering different stages of click verification.
Protection works in sequence. Each layer answers its own question — from “is this an obvious bot?” to “does the behavior look like a real visitor?”.
Through a ClikBy smart link or directly on the site via SDK with a Site Key. In direct mode the SDK itself creates the visit without a required public smart link.
User-Agent, headers, device type, datacenter IPs, and request frequency are checked. A hard-blocked bot does not receive the page with pixels.
If the mode is on and the SDK is installed on the site, the visit receives a token and goes through a client-side check: pending → confirmed or bot_filter.
Audience shows visit statuses. With sync configured, ClikBy updates IP exclusions in selected Google Ads and Yandex Direct campaigns; Meta can receive a FraudDetected event by fbclid if that option is enabled.
Important: SDK without a smart link is a separate direct-tracking mode, and connecting ad accounts is a separate sync loop through platform APIs. This does not mean guaranteed blocking of every type of fraud.

A regular link shortener only shortens a URL and counts clicks. ClikBy is a traffic-quality analysis platform with two entry modes: through a smart link or directly on the site via SDK. Visits are analyzed by source, device, geography, and behavioral signals. The system assesses traffic quality, flags suspicious clicks, and helps you see where the ad budget is going. Unlike a simple shortener, ClikBy provides reports, UTM tags, AI risk analysis, and tools for marketers and agencies who care not only about link length but also about fraud protection.
Yes. ClikBy is built for marketers and does not require a developer to get started. Basic tracking is set up through smart links, UTM tags, and QR codes right in the interface: you create a link, add tags, place it in ads, and see data in reports immediately. A developer is needed only for advanced scenarios — connecting a pixel, API, webhooks, or CRM and analytics integrations. For traffic-quality checks and antifraud in most campaigns, actions without a programmer are enough.
Yes. On the server, isBot signals fire (empty UA, bot libraries, headless patterns, missing Accept/Accept-Language, datacenter IP, rate-limit >30 clicks/60 s). Then Smart Traffic takes the visit through pending → confirm; without confirm, bot_filter is possible. In Audience, look at statuses and conversion_score. Safe mode writes would_block without a hard block.
Full fraud-detection guide →These are Selena account fields (High/Medium/Low Value Traffic scores) with validation ranges. In the current redirect runtime they do not ban clicks automatically — the working loop is isBot + Smart Traffic + sf_mode. Details and a 4-hour cooldown are in the thresholds article.
Thresholds and filter modes →It does not cut clicks with HVT thresholds “out of the box”, does not connect GA4 by itself from a form field, does not create a “Golden” module with one button, and does not run a dispute in Meta/Google for you. Product boundaries are collected separately.
What Selena does not do →This is a practice, not a separate feature: offer link + domain/Smart Traffic + pixel → confirmed clicks land in the Ads account. See also the case and playbook.
Golden-audience segments →A QR code is a two-dimensional barcode that a smartphone camera reads and instantly opens a link, contact, or other information without typing. In marketing, QR codes go on business cards, packaging, banners, flyers, and offline ads: the user scans the code and lands on the right page. A tracked QR code lets you analyze scan count, click source, and traffic quality. A QR code is especially useful where speed of action and a link between offline and online campaigns matter.
A DeepLink is a “smart” link that takes the user not to the site homepage or the app store, but to a specific screen, product, or section inside an already installed mobile app. A DeepLink shortens the path to the target action, improves the user experience, and raises conversion in mobile campaigns. In advertising, deeplinks are used to bring users back into the app, promote offers, and deliver personalized deals. A correctly set DeepLink helps keep click context between the ad, the site, and the app.
A short link is useful wherever brevity matters and you need to track clicks: social posts, SMS and email mailings, print ads, business cards, QR codes, and ad accounts. A short link saves space in the copy and looks cleaner than a long URL. With analytics connected, it shows click count, source, device, and geography. In marketing, a short link is a basic tool for A/B tests, UTM tags, and measuring each promotion channel.
How to create a smart link →A subdomain is the part of a domain name before the main domain, for example “blog.” in blog.example.com. Subdomains help split a blog, store, account area, support, or landings into separate sections under one brand. For marketing, a subdomain is useful when you need separate tracking, its own analytics, or an isolated campaign. A subdomain is set up via DNS records at the registrar or host. A well-organized subdomain simplifies site structure and traffic management by direction.
Guide to the Domains section →A/B testing is a method of comparing two versions of a page, ad, or email with one change: headline, button, image, or offer. Traffic is split between variant A and variant B, then you analyze which version yields more conversions, clicks, or sales. A/B testing reduces the risk of wrong marketing decisions and relies on data, not intuition. For a correct A/B test, change one element at a time and send enough traffic to each variant.
Detailed A/B-test guide →An ad pixel (Pixel) is a JavaScript snippet on the site that records visitor actions after seeing an ad: page view, add to cart, purchase, lead. Pixel sends data to the ad account, helps measure ROI, optimize campaigns, and build audiences for retargeting. Without an ad pixel it is hard to see which ads actually bring customers. Pixel is a key element of performance marketing on Facebook, Google, TikTok, and other ad platforms.
Pixels section in ClikBy → Compare types → Retargeting playbook →Yandex Metrica is a free web-analytics service from Yandex for tracking visits, traffic sources, user behavior, and conversions on a site. Yandex Metrica shows where visitors came from, which pages they viewed, and how long they stayed. The Webvisor tool records user sessions and helps find interface problems. For the Russian market, Yandex Metrica is one of the main analytics tools, along with integration into Yandex Direct and e-commerce reports.
GA4 (Google Analytics 4) is the current version of Google's analytics platform, built around events rather than sessions. GA4 tracks user actions on the site and in the app, shows the path to conversion, and helps evaluate ad-channel performance. In GA4 you set goals, funnels, audiences, and the link to Google Ads. For marketers, GA4 is the standard for analyzing traffic, behavior, and attribution. Correct GA4 setup matters for budget decisions and campaign scale.
Google Ads, GA, and GTM in ClikBy pixels →GTM (Google Tag Manager) is Google's free tag manager for running site codes without editing source code. Through GTM, marketers add pixels, analytics scripts, conversion events, and other tags in a visual interface. GTM speeds up campaign launch and reduces dependence on developers. Tags in GTM fire by rules: page view, click, form submit. A correctly set GTM simplifies integrating GA4, ad pixels, and tracking tools in one place.
How to connect GTM to a ClikBy link →SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is a set of work to improve a site for higher positions in Google and Yandex organic results. SEO includes technical optimization, content, page structure, load speed, and backlinks. The goal of SEO is stable free search traffic without paying for each click. SEO has a long-term effect but needs time and ongoing work. For business, SEO complements paid ads and reduces dependence on ad budget alone.
AI (artificial intelligence) is technology in which algorithms learn from data, find patterns, and make decisions without programming every step. In marketing, AI is used for audience analysis, conversion forecasting, offer personalization, antifraud, and automating routine tasks. AI helps process large volumes of ad traffic faster and spot anomalies. Platforms like ClikBy use AI, for example AI Selena, to explain risks and recommend campaign actions.
Behavior analysis is collecting and interpreting data on user actions on the site: clicks, scroll, time on page, moves between sections, form fills. Analytics systems and heatmaps show where users linger and where they leave. Behavior analysis helps improve navigation, copy, buttons, and the sales funnel. For a marketer, behavior analysis ties ad traffic to real on-site actions and shows which sources bring engaged audience and which bring random clicks.
To understand audience interests, combine analytics data, demographics, surveys, reviews, and social activity. Look at which pages and products are popular, where traffic comes from, and which segments convert more often. Audience interests show up in search queries, comments, discussion topics, and reactions to content. The more precisely you know audience interests, the more effective targeting, offers, and ad messages become. Regular interest analysis helps refresh hypotheses and not spend budget on irrelevant segments.
Reading analytics starts with basic metrics: visitors, traffic sources, bounce rate, pages per session, and conversions. Then compare periods — week, month, quarter — and look for patterns or anomalies. Analytics is useful when metrics are tied to business goals: leads, sales, cost per lead. Do not look at numbers in isolation: traffic growth without conversion growth can mean a low-quality source. Reading analytics well helps reallocate budget and improve ad campaigns.
In web analytics, a referral is a visitor who reached your site via a link from another resource, not from a search engine or a direct visit. Referral traffic shows which sites, blogs, partners, and publications bring audience. Tracking referrals helps evaluate PR, partner programs, and placements on third-party sites. In reports a referral usually appears as a separate traffic source with the referring domain. Analyzing referral traffic matters for understanding the external contribution to visit growth.
Targeting is setting ads to show to a defined audience by criteria: age, gender, geography, interests, behavior, device, keywords. Targeting reduces spend on impressions to the “wrong” audience and raises ad relevance. In search and social ads, targeting is the basis of campaign efficiency. The more precise the targeting, the higher the CTR and conversion at the same budget. Modern targeting relies on analytics data, pixels, and segments of users who already interacted with the brand.
Google Ads is Google's advertising platform for search ads, display ads on partner sites, YouTube video ads, and campaigns in Google Merchant Center. Google Ads runs on an auction model: you set bids, audience, and budget, and the system shows ads to relevant users. Through Google Ads you track clicks, conversions, and cost of customer acquisition. For business, Google Ads is one of the main paid-traffic channels, together with GA4 analytics and bid-optimization tools.
Google Ads pixel in ClikBy → Connect a Google Ads account →In the glossary — 70+ definitions: from alias and Smart Traffic to GDPR, HVT, and FraudDetected. Many terms have a link to a full guide.
Open the glossary →The operator is Proactive Technology LLC (Belarus); for the EEA a representative in Barcelona is listed. The policy relies on Law 99-3 and GDPR. For clickers on client links, ClikBy acts as a processor.
An advertising traffic quality analysis platform: smart links and QR or direct tracking via SDK, antifraud statuses, pixels, and signal sync with Google Ads, Meta, and Yandex Direct. That is broader than a regular URL shortener.
What ClikBy is →Take spend and clicks from Ads, confirmed/bot from ClikBy, and revenue from the CRM — calculate CPC, bot share, an estimate of wasted spend, CPA, ROI, and ROAS. Help has a method and an in-browser calculator (not a separate account module).
ROI method and calculator →It is clicks and visits without real interest: bots, fake activity, datacenter junk. You pay, and there are no leads. ClikBy flags suspicious visits both through smart links and directly via SDK on the site, then can sync protective signals with Google Ads, Meta, and Yandex Direct.
What ad fraud is →Pulse → Advertising: create an account, complete OAuth; for Google/Yandex choose campaigns for IP block; for Meta specify Pixel ID and enable negative signals. This is an export of antifraud data, not an import of spend from the accounts.
Connecting ad accounts →UTM are parameters in the long URL (utm_source, medium, campaign, term, content). In ClikBy the builder appends them to the destination; on click the values are written to the visit. The link has no separate UTM fields in the database.
UTM tag builder →In the create form, turn on “Multiple links” mode: one URL per line. The limit is short_max_multi_links (default 10). There is no bulk-create in the API.
Bulk link creation →The click password (password) is not the same as the stats password (privacy). Expiry is by the ends_at date and/or a click limit; after expiry a page with a 5-second auto-redirect is available.
Password, expiry, and click limit →Pixels require a custom domain or Smart Traffic. Check DNS, consent consent{link_id}, bot status, and that the link has not expired and is not deleted (QR breaks on deletion).
Diagnosing typical issues →Create a link, attach a domain and pixel, turn on Smart Traffic or AI Selena and the cookie notice, make a test click — then build the audience in the ad account.

VK, myTarget, and LinkedIn →Right now one account = one client. Each customer gets a separate account; inside, use “Tags” for campaigns. There is no multi-client workspace in a single login.
Client report → Antifraud for agencies →Yes: a refund of up to 35% of the attracted client's plan price. Agency registration is required — submit an application via the form on the program page.
Partner program and application →Shorten the ClikBy link on a branded domain, add UTM (source/medium/campaign), and paste it into the mailing template. View clicks and quality in the stats.
SMS and messengers →Each location gets its own smart link and QR (via tags and/or UTM). One shared code for the whole network mixes locations.
QR by location →Yes: the QR is tied to the smart-link alias. You change the destination URL in editing — the printed medium stays. Deleting the link or changing the alias breaks an already printed code.
Print without reprinting →Facebook Pixel is Meta's site analytics tool that tracks user actions after a click on Facebook and Instagram ads. Facebook Pixel sends data on views, cart, purchases, and leads to the Meta ad account. On Facebook Pixel you build retargeting, look-alike audiences, and conversion optimization. Without Facebook Pixel, Meta ads run blind: it is harder to measure ROI and see which ads deliver. Installing Facebook Pixel is a required step for performance marketing in the Meta ecosystem.
Facebook Pixel guide →AdRoll Pixel is the tracking code of the AdRoll retargeting platform that records site visitors and then shows them personalized ads on other sites and social networks. AdRoll Pixel helps “catch up” with users who did not finish a purchase and bring them back into the funnel. With AdRoll Pixel, marketers segment the audience by behavior and run retargeting with different offers. AdRoll Pixel is especially useful in e-commerce and B2B, where the decision cycle is longer than one visit. It is a tool for retention and repeat sales.
AdRoll pixel guide →TikTok Pixel is a code snippet on the site for tracking conversions from TikTok ads: views, sign-ups, purchases, add to cart. TikTok Pixel sends data to Ads Manager, helps optimize campaigns, and find look-alike audiences. Without TikTok Pixel it is hard to see which creatives and segments actually deliver. TikTok Pixel is especially important for brands promoting products and services to a younger audience via short video. Correct TikTok Pixel setup is the basis of measurable performance marketing on TikTok.
