Коротко
- The From / To filters in Audience set the visit analysis window.
- Each visit’s time is in the first table column (in the user’s timezone).
- Dashboard / Stats Overview — the Clicks vs Bots trend for the selected date range.
- There is no separate “bots by hour of day” report as a ready-made matrix in the UI; look at the time in the rows and the period chart.
Идея
Fake traffic often comes in bursts: at night, on weekends, in a short spike. Compare days before/after the campaign launch and hours in the bot table.
Period and time in Audience
From / To
Set the campaign week or “yesterday vs the day before”.
Bot status
Keep bots only.
Time column
Look for clusters at the same hours.
Change the window
Shift the period and check whether the spike disappeared after you turned the source off.
Bots chart on Dashboard/Stats
On the stats overview of the selected link (and on Dashboard) there is a Bots metric next to Clicks. Pick a period preset (Today / Last 7 / 30 / month) or a custom range — see whether the bot peak matches the Ads click peak.
The “Bots” aggregate in Stats comes from click stats; the Audience list is visits with statuses. The numbers may differ — they are different entities.
Practice
- A bot spike at the hour a new placement launched → turn off/limit the source, then measure again.
- A flat 24/7 bot baseline → typical datacenter/parser; look at bot_server.
- Cross-check with the hourly Ads report — matching peaks strengthen the hypothesis.
Limitations
Audience has no separate UTM / country / channel filters. The breakdowns below are working scenarios: filter by link and status + visit columns/details + Stats sections (Referrers, Countries) and the Bots chart on Dashboard.
